I was inspired to paint this piece after watching ‘The last dance’. This great series rejuvenated my love for the game of basketball.

Jordan or 'MJ' was THE role model for any aspiring sports enthusiast during the 80's and 90's. As a basketball fan this was an easy choice for a subject to create as an oil painting.

The limited edition prints are from the original oil painting on canvas with multiple layers of paint and glazes.

I really enjoyed this painting, finding more and more detail to add with every layer. This resulted in painting every pore of the skin and every bead of sweat on his head.

It was a long process taking over 90 hours to paint but I hope you'll agree, it was well worth it.
